SCF Fall Plenary

The SCF Fall Plenary takes place on 16th November at the Northeastern University – Innovation Campus at Burlington. Designed to be an interactive working session, we’ll be rolling up our sleeves to kick start our programme for the next 12 months.

It is the day after the Joint O-RAN Software Community (OSC)/Open Source Focus Group (OSFG) and OpenAirInterface (OAI) End-to-End Reference Designs for O-RAN Workshop, making it an easy-to-attend event for those of you already travelling to Boston.

What

Face to face plenary preceded by SCF/OAI/O-RAN Alliance meet-up. So as well as the unparalleled networking opportunities all our plenaries offer, this is shaping up to be a jam-packed event where we’ll be covering:

  • Enabling Neutral hosts – reviewing our value proposition, regulatory framework and comparing best practice case studies across the Middle East, US and Europe. Including ensuring we continue to frame the choices around MOCN. MORAN, and JOTS for the benefit of the small cell and small networks industry
  • The SCF 5G mmWave initiative
  • FAPI and DARTS roadmap review and action plan for the coming year
  • Regulation – exploring our best practice framework, global regulatory best practice for neutral hosts and spectrum allocation and interoperability standards for private networks
  • The SCF sustainability policy
  • As well as AGM formalities

Why

The first opportunity for SCF members to meet face-to-face since May’s SCWS, this plenary is a critical one in the calendar, as we set out the work and agree priorities and outputs for the new SCF membership year.

The plenary is the day after the Joint O-RAN Software Community (OSC)/Open Source Focus Group (OSFG) and OpenAirInterface (OAI) End-to-End Reference Designs for O-RAN Workshop, making it an easy-to-attend event for those of you already travelling to Boston. In fact, we will be jointly hosting a session with these partner forums on the 15th, helping you maximise the value from your travel plans (please note, you will need to register for that separately here).
