SCF Small Cell Awards Look to Honour 5G Pioneers in 2019

New categories to shine light on entrants driving developments in technologies crucial to future 5G networks

London, UK  31 January 2019 – Small Cell Forum (SCF), the telecoms organization driving densification worldwide, today announced that the SCF Small Cell Awards 2019 are now open for entries.

The Awards, recognising outstanding achievement within, and contributions to the global small cell industry, take place on 21 May 2019 during the Small Cells World Summit World in London, the flagship global event for the small cell, Wi-Fi and DAS industry, which is held exclusively in partnership with SCF.

The SCF Small Cell Awards are open to the whole industry and are judged independently by a panel of leading analysts, journalists and industry experts.

Chair of the judging panel Caroline Gabriel, founder and Research Director at Rethink Research, said: ‘Once again, I’m honoured to be the chair of such an illustrious panel of judges, and to help decide the winners. The SCF Small Cell Awards always attract a large number of interesting and innovative entries, which reflect the rapid changes in this sector, and it’s importance to the telecoms ecosystem as a whole.’

SCF Chair, David Orloff added: ‘This year, for the first time, we look to recognise and honour companies working in critical features of nascent 5G networks, in which small cells will play a central role. We welcome entries from Forum members and the wider telecoms community, and I am always fascinated by how these awards track trends within our industry – highlighting brilliant efforts by organisations big and small.’

The entry deadline is Midnight, Friday 29th March 2019, and firms can submit entries online at www.smallcellforum.org/awards.
